What My Self-Care Sunday Looks Like Now That I Work Out

Working out consistently taught me the value of proper rest days. Self-care Sunday is now a cornerstone of my weekly routine:

1. Slow Morning Start
I sleep in without guilt, wake up slow, and hydrate first thing. It resets my mind for the coming week.

2. Mindful Movement (Optional)
Gentle stretching, yoga, or an easy walk—no pressure, just gentle movement to recover from the week's workouts.

3. Meal Prep for Lazy Days
Not intense prep—just cooking a big batch of rice or pasta, boiling eggs, and chopping veggies. It makes busy weekdays easier.

4. Mental Reset
Journaling about my week helps clear mental clutter and sets my intentions. I reflect on progress, not perfection.

Making rest part of my fitness journey helps prevent burnout and keeps me balanced.
