How I Lost 108 Pounds Without Strict Diets or the Gym (Real, sustainable, and a little lazy — just how I like it)

Let me get this out of the way:

Yes — I lost 108 pounds.
No — I didn’t do keto.
No — I didn’t wake up at 5AM and run 10 miles.
And definitely no, I didn’t go full beast mode at the gym.

This post isn’t a “transformation story.”
It’s just what actually worked for me — a real person who got tired of feeling like crap and started making small changes that stuck.

Step 1: I Gave Up on “All or Nothing”

Every time I tried to go all in — crazy diets, intense workout plans — I’d burn out by week two.
So I decided to stop chasing perfect and just start doing a little better each day.

Sometimes I ate junk. Sometimes I didn’t move much.
But I kept going. Slowly.

Step 2: I Made My Food Boring (But Delicious)

I started eating the same 5–6 meals I actually liked and could cook in under 10 minutes:

  • Oats with banana & peanut butter

  • Eggs and toast

  • Rice bowls with tuna or chicken

  • Frozen veggies tossed in a pan with seasoning

  • Yogurt with honey and walnuts

It wasn’t glamorous — but it worked. I stopped ordering takeout, and I stopped binge-eating.

 Step 3: I Moved... a Little

No gym.
No fancy workouts.
I literally started with walking 10 minutes a day. Around my building. With music in my ears.

Eventually, that became 20, then 30.
Now? I walk or stretch daily. Still no gym membership — and I’m fine with that.

Step 4: I Focused on My Mindset, Not Just My Body

The biggest shift wasn’t physical. It was mental.
I started talking to myself nicer.
I stopped saying “I failed” when I had a bad day — and just moved on.

I journaled. I took mental health days. I forgave myself — and kept going.

 Final Thoughts

Losing weight doesn’t have to be punishment.
It doesn’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to suffer to feel better.

I lost 108 pounds by being consistent, patient, and kind to myself.

If I can do it, so can you — without hating your life in the process.
