The Gym Doesn’t Scare Me Anymore – Here's How I Made Peace with It

Confession: the gym used to intimidate me more than public speaking.

The machines, the people, the mirrors — it was a lot.
But here’s how I made peace with it, and how you can too:

1. Headphones = Instant Confidence

The right playlist turns anxiety into focus.
Put on your favorite tracks, zone in, block everyone out. It’s a game-changer.

2. Stick to a Simple Plan

I don’t overthink. I go in with 3–4 things to do.
Even if it’s just:

  • 10 mins cardio

  • Squats

  • Dumbbell press

  • Stretch

That’s more than enough.

3. Realize No One Is Watching You

Literally no one cares.
Everyone’s too busy looking at themselves in the mirror.
Once I accepted that, everything got easier.

Final thought?
The gym isn’t the enemy. My self-doubt was. And I’m done letting it win.
